Ways To Liven Up Your Skin
We tend to apply all sorts of products to improve our appearance – toner, moisturiser, and many
more – but we often forget that the most importance thing is to exfoliate.
Why exfoliate?
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells on your skin’s outermost surface.
If you’re not exfoliating, most of your beauty product application will go to waste! Lotions will not be
absorbed if a thick and dull layer of dead skin cells gets in the way.
And as we age, the need to exfoliate becomes greater as cell regeneration slows down. The body
hence takes a longer time to shed old skin cells and replace them with new ones.
Your skin will look dull, rough and dry when old skin cells pile up, hiding the youthful radiance you
have!
How to exfoliate?
The right way to exfoliate is to go gently but thoroughly, depending on your skin type.
If you use an exfoliating scrub, choose one that has smooth, round granules that will not irritate
sensitive skin. When using a loofah or brush, make sure you do not rub your skin until it turns red.
Ideally, you should exfoliate skin from top to toe at least once a week.
