Description
Tidomet 25/100Mg Tablet
Indications / Uses : Symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease (paralysis agitans), postencephalitic parkinsonism, which follows injury to nervous system by carbon monoxide & manganese intoxication.
Administration : Should be taken on an empty stomach: If GI distress occurs, take w/ food. CR Tab: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications : Hypersensitivity. Narrow-angle glaucoma, patients w/ suspicious undiagnosed skin lesions or history of melanoma. MAOIs.
Special Precautions : Discontinue use in patients receiving levodopa alone at least 8 hr before initiation of therapy. Not to be taken w/ additional levodopa unless instructed. May cause involuntary movements & mental disturbances. Development of depression w/ concomitant suicidal tendencies. Patients w/ severe CV or pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, renal, hepatic or endocrine disease, past or current psychosis. Women of childbearing potential. Pregnancy & lactation. Patients <18 yr. Childn.
