Description :
Each IV injection combination pack contains a vial containing omeprazole sodium (freeze-dried powder) 42.6 mg equivalent to omeprazole 40 mg, and an ampoule of solvent containing polyethylene glycol 400 4,000 mg, citric acid monohydrate 6 mg and water for injection added to make 10 mL.
Indications / Uses :
Benign gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Acid aspiration prophylaxis. The injection may be used as an alternative for patients who cannot tolerate oral therapy.
Administration :
Should be taken with food: Take immediately before a meal.
Contraindications :
Hypersensitivity to omeprazole or to any components of Omepron.
Special Precautions :
Symptomatic response to omeprazole therapy does not rule out the presence of a gastric malignancy. Atrophic gastritis has been noted occasionally in gastric corpus biopsies from patients on long-term omeprazole therapy.
