ELTROXIN 50MCG TABLET
Description : Thyroxine 100 mcg is equivalent in activity to liothyronine/triiodothyronine 20-30 mcg or thyroid BP 60 mg and/or local pharmacopeia specification.
Eltroxin tablets comply with the specification for thyroxine tablets BP.
Indications / Uses : Hypothyroidism.
Administration : Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take ?-1 hr before meals.
Contraindications : Hypersensitivity. Thyrotoxicosis.
Special Precautions : Myocardial insufficiency or ECG evidence of MI or ischemia; DM or insipidus. Initiate corticosteroid therapy before giving thyroxine to patients w/ panhypopituitarism or other causes predisposing to adrenal insufficiency. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
