DUOTRAV 40MCG/5MG OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION 2.5ML
Description : Travoprost 40 mcg, timolol maleate 5 mg
Indications / Uses : Decrease of IOP in adult patients w/ open-angle glaucoma or ocular HTN who are insufficiently responsive to topical ?-blockers or prostaglandin analogues.
Contraindications : Hypersensitivity to other ?-blockers. Bronchial asthma, history of bronchial asthma or severe COPD. Sinus bradycardia, sick sinus syndrome, including sino-arterial block, 2nd- or 3rd-degree AV block, overt cardiac failure or cardiogenic shock. Severe allergic rhinitis & bronchial hyperreactivity, corneal dystrophies. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions : Anaphylactic reactions. Patients w/ CV disorders & hypotension, severe peripheral circulatory disturbance; spontaneous hypoglycemia or labile diabetes. May mask the signs of hyperthyroidism. May potentiate muscle weakness consistent w/ certain myasthenic symptoms eg, diplopia, ptosis & generalized weakness. Topical ?-adrenergic blocking agents. History of atopy or severe anaphylactic reaction. Active intraocular inflammation; patients w/ predisposing risk factors for uveitis. Inflammatory ocular conditions; nor in neovascular, angle-closure, narrow-angle or congenital glaucoma; thyroid eye disease, open-angle glaucoma of pseudophakic patients & in pigmentary of pseudoexfoliative glaucoma. Surgical anesth. May cause irritation & discolor soft contact lenses. Patients already receiving a systemic ?-blocking agent. May impair ability to drive and use machines. Childn <18 yr.
