AERIUS 5MG TABLET

Description :

Aerius Tab: Each tablet contains 5.0 mg of desloratadine.

Aerius Syr: Each mL of desloratadine (Aerius) syrup contains 500 mcg of desloratadine.

Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Aerius Tab: Dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, talc, blue color film-coat material, clear film coat material, white wax and carnauba wax.

Indications / Uses :

Desloratadine (AERIUS) is indicated for the rapid relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, nasal discharge and itching, congestion/stuffiness, as well as ocular itching, tearing and redness, itching of palate and coughing.

Desloratadine (AERIUS) is also indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with urticaria such as the relief of itching and the size and number of hives.

Administration :

May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications :

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Special Precautions :

Aerius Tab: Efficacy and safety of desloratadine (AERIUS) tablets in children under 12 years of age have not been established.

Aerius Syr: Efficacy and safety of desloratadine (AERIUS) syrup in children under 6 months of age have not been established.

Effects on Ability to Drive and Use Machines: No effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been observed (see Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics under Actions).
